How to install LP25004 Bushings on to implements?

    G'Day All,

I have recently purchased my 1025R with an Imatch quick hitch and a JD Ballast box.

As many have found out previously, I found the supplied bushings that came with the quick hitch are too short to work properly and don't keep the ballast box safely secured to the quick hitch.

After a bit of research I have purchased a couple of LP25004 bushing kits to fix this issue.

From what I can see these are installed over the existing pins on the ballast box with the smaller roll pins taped into the bushing then the pin hole. Is this correct? Is there a better technique for this instalation?

My bushing kit hasn't arrived yet but I though I would ask the experts in advance!!!

    Thanks for any advise.

    Cheers,

    Michael.

    That's exactly right.

The roll pins can be a little stubborn to get started sometimes so holding (squeezing) them with a pair of vice grips will help. Once started just continue tapping until they are flush. I started the roll pins into the bushings in a vice so they would hold steady.

Alternatively get the newer version that's held on with lynch pins.
