John Deere 606 Rotary Cutter Gearbox Rebuild

I need to rebuild the gearbox on a 606 rotary cutter.
Never worked on one before so have no idea the best place to order parts.
Also have no idea how to get the Shear Bolt Assembly off. It's definitely not your standard shear bolt through the shaft setup.
Any help on either or both would be great.
    Thanks!
    Dave

    Welcome to GTT
My guess is snap ring holds plate on gearbox shaft BUT snap ring in your photo is on wrong side of plate to accomplish what I think.

    Thanks! Glad to be here.
I'm thinking snap ring as well and found the same photo on a few sites. It would have to go between the two plates so maybe they show it like they do as you couldn't see it if it was on the other side, where it really goes. As soon as I get back to the farm I'll take a look and see if I can see it between the two plates. If it's there it's in a tight place. I'll let you know what I find out in case someone with a similar problem finds this thread in the future.
