    Finish mower with iMatch

Having trouble getting my finish mower to hook up correctly with iMatch / Quick hitch.

If I try to hook up like I would with regular 3 point the swivel part of the top link will come out of top link on iMatch.

If I adjust the lower links in and double pin them and remove the swivel upper and use the solid link on mower it wont float properly.

So I've been removing iMatch and using regular 3point when I mow. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong in my connections? Kinda defeats having a quick hitch if I have to take it off every time I want to mow.

You need the floating adapter for the QH.

Here is the manual for the Landpride brand, but it will give you an idea what you need.

Check to see if they have a quick hitch adapter from the manufacturer. I have a Befco RFM and they do have such an adapter. I ordered it with the mower and they installed it before delivery. It works great with my iMatch.

Sure enough, that is a funny looking green color. It even looks clean. Do you every use that funny colored thing.

Here is a pic of the quick hitch adapter option installed on my RFM from Befco. Works great. They even gave me the original linkage, but I suspect I will never use it unless I sell it.

Here is another style of adapter that you can use.

You have to take the top hook off of the QH and it pins in place of the hook.

Here is the one from my woods mower, they remove the back steel straps and replace with chains as well giving plenty of float.

The Land Pride floating adapters work great. I used two of them to adapt older implements. I recall they were about $26 each including shipping to my home (ordered from local LP dealer).
