    iMatch receiver adapter...thingy

I made this today, and I thought I'd share in case someone else wanted to make one. I threw it together out of used stuff I had laying around, the only "new" piece that I didn't have to cut apart to re-use was the 2.5"x1/4 wall DOM tubing for the receiver portion. I wanted to mock it up to see if the idea would even work, and since it did I kind of wish I would have made it prettier. I know now that I've painted it I'll probably never remake a pretty one, I've got too much new work to do much rework. Maybe next winter I'll make a nice one and TIG weld it up.

The concept is the same as the one I welded on my old Speeco quick hitch, but I wanted to make this one removable and the shape of the iMatch top bracket wasn't as friendly to just welding a piece of tubing on. Anyway, the pictures show it all, no interference with any of my implements, but I couldn't use that rack with the 3pt snowblower.

I really like having a carrier when I'm working, whether just to throw hand tools on or as a work surface for sharpening a chain saw. I suppose you could put a regular hitch in this and move a goose neck trailer, but I don't have one to try it on.

    I like it!

    Great concept.

Have you tried connecting / disconnecting the implement with the hitch rack installed yet?

Yep, I did it in the series of pictures. You have to be closer to the right height of course, but with the box blade it wasn't even an issue because even with the hitch all the way down on my 5055E, you couldn't hit the rack on the top hook. Everything else I had measured out with room to spare, but might need a closer eye. Or, you just take the rack out for hitching up.

I figured you had done some measuring. Hard to tell in the pictures for sure.

I like it. Just might have to give it a try on my QH.

Prior to having a QH, I put a vertical tube on the back of my box blade and built a basket to tote stuff around with.

I got the idea after I forgot I had some stuff in the loader bucket that I was carrying back to the shop and got distracted by a pile of brush that I was meaning to push out of the way.
