    1959 Light Resistor 530

The wire coil in my light resistor on my 530 PN AR 20899R is broken. I have been unable to find a replacement.

    Any ideas out there.

    Thanks.

I wonder if the ign resistor(AA5791R) could be substituted for the light resistor(AR20899).

I Jim, I don't know if that would work. They don't look the same. I don't know how to compare the two.

So,, is this tractor using a resistor to correct the battery voltage so that a different voltage light can be used?

If that is the case, could you get the correct voltage bulb?
If it is something else,, we kinda need an idea what the resistor is doing,,
then the correct resistor can be determined.

I can not think of a time I ran into a resistor used with lighting,,,
except where a 6 volt tractor is upgraded to a 12 volt battery,,,
Some of the tractors include JD 4105, JD 855, JD 650,,,, and,,, the IH 584 4WD
My favorite attachment is the homemade landplane,,, EVERYONE needs one of those!!

CADplans, Thanks for your comments, I think. You are too deep for me.

I'm just looking for a part.

    Thanks
