Antique John Deere tractor wheels -- please help me identify them!

Hi there! My grandfather passed a few years ago and we have been going through all of the old farm equipment around his expansive property. We found a pair of tractor wheels in one of his barns and I would like a little more information on them. We were told from a family friend that he bought them, and the ancient tractor they were attached to, had been sold for $100 back in 2005 because they had wanted the tractor motor for a project, and when he brought them home, his friend recognized the wheels. He didn't tell us exactly what they were, but that they were 'extremely rare', as in only 10 pair had ever been made. I'm having difficulty finding any information about these wheels online, as I honestly know nothing about vintage tractors. Can anyone help me identify them, and perhaps where I can get a price tag for them?

    Thanks in advance!

Are there any stamping or casting numbers on them?

    Maybe this link can help.

    Jessica,

A photo of the full wheel might be helpful in identifying them, in addition to the close- up you posted.

I'm going to move this thread to the Johnny Poppers section of GTT, as it doesn't appear that your wheels would fit on a lawn or garden tractor.
