    John Deere 420 Rim Question

Could we change the original "waffle" rims on a John Deere 420 out for the spin outs or would they not fit? Thanks in advance!!

    Hello,

I'd say yes it can be done but you will need more than just the spin outs. Waffle rims have their own type of centers that attach directly to the axle shaft, and spin outs use a different center that bolts to a hub. A pair of hubs and centers for the power adjust rims and you should be good to go.

    Hello,
Clamp on hubs are used on straight axle shafts with keys. I believe your machine uses axle shafts with a tapered spline and a large hex nut to retain your centers. To use clamp ons you would need to change out your axle shafts and then you wouldn't need the spin outs adjustability. Probably the easiest way is to find the hubs and centers for the spin outs.
