    JD 50 Powertrol lever

Anybody ever removed the powertrol lever on a first numbered series JD? My “50” has it on the left side, like most, but I’d like to switch it to the right side. I loosened up the one bolt that holds it on but it won’t move.... Wondering if there is something I’m missing? Don’t really want to start beating it with a hammer...

over the yrs i've thought about moving mine too. but then i thought why couldn't ya just install another one on the right side??? get one from a salvage yard for the 2nd one.

did u spray it with like PBLASTER by chance, to let soak a few days. heck i figure mine hasn't been off since 1953-so i imagine it's stuck good.
