John Deere model 60 clutch driver worn crankshaft

Hello everyone , John Deere Model - 60 Clutch driver question, Does anyone have any ideas for keeping the 1/4 gap between the clutch driver and the end of the crankshaft on a John Deere model 60 .. Shims , Is there a shim kit available for them …. Stick weld / Mig & hand file the inner crankshaft splines...JB weld ...Tin can wrap ? Thank you in advance if you've had to make this kind of repair on a slightly worn crankshaft , Went with a .030 oversized driver and it's still pulling in tight to the end of the crankshaft .

Don't know of any shim kits, but I have run into some that had shims in the splines. I assume someone hand cut and fitted them. It seemed to work well. I just reinstalled the original shims when I put it back together. As long as you keep shims all the same thickness, it should work ok.

I have seen where cutoff **horseshoe nails** were utilized as shims on JD 2 cyl clutch driver.
