Automatic fuel shut off on a 530

Hello, should a 530 John Deere have a manual shut off valve at the sediment bowl? My 530 does not have a manual shut off as far as I can see. If not do I need to be concerned about fuel getting in the crankcase?

I think they have an automatic shutoff. It’s run by oil pressure. When there is pressure the bowl opens up. When you loose pressure the flow stops.

If you post a pic we should be able to tell pretty easily.

Ditto what J3 Driver stated. Factory fuel control valve on 530 model was oil pressure controlled. They normally operate fine until diaphragm &/or sealing washer leak.

Sorry for being so late on posting pictures of the sediment bowl but anyway here they are. It’s an automatic fuel shut off, right?

Yes the fuel valve in your photo appears to be engine oil pressure controlled
