    M/MT Fuel Tank Pressure

Anyone know if the fuel tank on the M/MT is supposed to be pressurized? In looking for a new fuel cap, all the places I find show the fuel cap and radiator cap as interchangeable. Looking at my I&T manual for the tractor, it states that the radiator cap should be between 6-7psi. Is the fuel tank supposed to be pressurized to 6-7psi also?

I can't say that a new cap for your M/MT will operate this way, but a 6-7 psi radiator will release pressure at 6-7 psi and allow air to flow back in at atmospheric pressure...that's how they draw fluid bak into coolant system if connected to an overflow tank. They're like a check valve...free flow in one direction (out) and psi to release in other direction (in). Bob
