Just another idea for you (so that we can send you some more cash)

Perhaps in your travels you might see if you can find something like this....say maybe in a size that would fit on your hooks....

How would you use that, versus two hooks on your bucket?

For starters it just looked like a really handy option to have in the toolbox...

I would use two of these (one on each side of the bucket) to lift my mower deck to create a bridle for each side (lifting the deck flat) and this would make adjusting each leg length very easy.

I see an option of using one of these on my rear 3 point multipurpose hitch (only one hook there).

Along with all the other do-dads in the toy box, I am sure a couple of these will come in pretty handy at some time. You just never know when something like this would be the cats meow.

Stuff like this falls into the category of "This looks pretty neat - I want one" toys. I have a garage full of stuff that I thought was pretty neat, and every now and then some of it even gets used.

Is there something that this does that the chain shorteners KBOH's already sells won't do? This one kinda looks prettier but.. functions?

Lets see if I can 'splain this...

If you want to move a 3 point attachment... (for example)

Loop the chain through the top link pin on the implement, go through this bridle, then take each leg to the back corner of the implement. You now have 3 lifting points. Hook the bridle to the center hook on your bucket and lift.....

I have a couple pear links that are a single chain version of this and they are pretty handy, especially going from a strap to a chain.

I found this while looking for something else. I thought it looked pretty useful but the ones I found were much larger than what I needed (1/2" chain and larger). I know Kenny has several contacts and was just wondering if he knew of a source for a 5/16 - 3/8" version and also if it was cost effective and enough market for him to carry in his inventory.

Ok, you're making a 3-legged chain bridle. But you can do the exact same thing with the chain shortener, no?

Typically a chain shortener only has one or two links between the hooks. You could make the 3 legged bridle, but how do you connect it to the lift point?

I get your point - perhaps there are ways to use the stuff I already have.....

but that takes all the fun out of getting more stuff....:empathy3:

Thanks guys. I didn't know that a chain shortener was a thing until this thread, which I figured that I have use for after looking at the pictures of it on Ken's site.

I appreciate you helping me spend my money.

Kenny sells a nice one with a BIG round hoop in the middle! Slides right onto your hooks.
