    What's the purpose?

Are these hooks used mainly for lifting? Also what is the shackle for in the combo model?

I was hoping to find a video of someone using these. They look like they could help moving some trees in our yard.

Yep and see they are lifting things. Curious if there are other uses, as pulling with the loader seems to be a no-no.

Right, pulling with the loader generally is a bad thing.

With the hooks on top, and the shackles inside the bucket, I can securely fasten any lifting chain or strap securely to the loader with no fear of cutting or slippage. I grew up on a farm and have been around farm equipment all my life, and I never understood why my dad would not add these to his loader. Now that I have mine, I will NEVER own another loader with out a set.

Gotcha. Thanks for the answers and sorry for all the dumb questions.

That said, I'd rather ask dumb questions and not do something stupid!

    Good call.

The hooks are for lifting or securing things with chain, the shackles are for straps.

I've used the hooks to secure more than lift. Example:

1025R TLB with the 53" loader bucket and 12" backhoe bucket, 54" mower deck (no AutoConnect!), 54" snowblower, 647 tiller, and a ballast box. Fitted an RIO override, added several KBOGH products (a pair of hooks on the loader bucket, a clevis mount to the backhoe, and the diff lock pedal), a GoPro mount on top of the ROPS, R2 Manufacturing 2x 4" Edge Tamers and Edge Extenders. What next?

    Handy tie down

The hooks are also a handy tie down when trailering the tractor and FEL. I like to secure both and it's easy to slide a chain into the hook to make sure the loader stays put if things go bad.
