    Burn #2 completed

I did the second brush pile burn of the year. Most of the summer was too hot and dry to burn, then things got wet. Finally a good day to burn, lots of dew on the ground and very little wind.

I started at 10:30 and left at 3:30, then went back to check about 6:30PM and a doe was at the tree line watching

You're lucky. Around here there's a burning ban right now from 6am to 6pm. If I would light up a pile like that on my 40 acres along the freeway, the 911 switchboard would burn up from all the people calling and the fire boys would be here in a heartbeat.

NO ban here, but you must burn during daylight and only "natural items, unprocessed wood, brush, leaves. You have to call for a "burn permit".
