    275 gal storage tote

    I bought 8x 275gal storage totes My plan is with 6 to cut the top and store firewood and coal Now before i do that i wonder if i can lift them once 3/4 full Have a jd 2210 with 42 forks and now jd ballast box
    275 gal storage tote -is a plastic container enclosed in wire cage siting on pallet base

    Two minutes with Google and it looks like each tote holds 36 cubic feet, so 3x3x4 feet, and a cubic foot of coal weighs 80-85 pounds. So a level full tote will hold 3000 pounds of coal.

    I think wood would be much lighter, the larger pieces would not stack as tight.
