Mowing your lawn. Love or hate it?

I'm curious as to where you guys are with this. I have my theories but figured why not post a poll and find out.

I love to operate equipment, always have. It brings a bit of pride to accomplish something that once completed, you can stand back and admire. Mowing the grass isn't building a bridge or digging out stumps to re-claim some more yard, but it's something. To some people it's a huge thing to have the lawn looking always neat and tidy. I personally enjoy running my tractor to cut the grass, but in the end you can see nice straight lines and smooth manicured looking lawn. Bonus. It's the seat time and the end result that I enjoy.

It's just another chore that has to be done for me. I just don't get into it.

I enjoy mowing, but can't really say it's always my most favorite thing to do, and I don't consider it just a chore. I like the "quiet time" (with my hearing protection ) and seat time on any tractor is good for me. Digging and FEL work, now that is really good seat time.

I love mowing on my L118, mainly because someone else usually does it so it is nice to get some time to myself to think over the day, plus i get to drive my John Deere. Now skid steer work, that is so incredibly fun no matter what it is, I always love running the 317.

Working on my Grandparent's farm every summer and on an egg farm as a teenager, I learned the satisfaction of graduating up to tasks WITH "power equipment". They used very little both places!

My neighbor absolutely LOVES the neat trimmed and striped look of his lawn so much he stands out there admiring it for half an hour... every time the landscaper finishes with it! Me, I gotta "...run the machines, Man, gotta run them machines!"

Some days I like it and some days I dis-like. But I find that I like it more now with the z-track because I feel like I still have some learning to do to get "perfect" at driving it. Each time I am out I learn a little more on how to use it on angles and how to spin around quick without tearing up the lawn. I guess I enjoy the challenge and learning it provides.

I dont mind mowing the lawn, but I have other things I'd rather be doing. Like fishing or hunting.

It's a good excuse for not doing other chores. Can't paint the barn now have to mow the lawn.
