    3032E MFWD output assembly

The shift shaft on my 3032E MFWD output assembly is leaking. Looking at the repair manual, it says to split the tractor to remove. It looks like the assembly could be removed with out splitting the tractor. Has anyone tried this? I was also looking at removing the retaining clip for the shaft, slide the shaft out, and replace the o-ring, if that is possible. If the shaft was slide out too far, it looks like shift arm shoe would become disengaged, with no way to reinstall. Any help would be appreciated.

Have had good luck with the Lucas hydraulic treatment. Any small leak gets that first.
