The new 3D series from John Deere

I just found the new 3D series on Youtube, here is the video:

What are your opinions from what you can see in the video compared the 3E and 3R series, could it be really that more "easy to operate"?

No build your own update as yet. This was screen grab from John Deere Canada. For those wanting to shift gears, just like old times. Actually they call it the PowrReverser.

Could it? Sure! If you figure the "E" series has been the stripped down econo-version and now they have a D-series. The D probably doesn't have any controls at all!

It looks like it's essentially an E series with a gear transmission instead of a hydro.

Didn't think they were releasing this Until May of this year. Nice to see there ahead. It would be a tempting second tractor as I have always Liked Gear driven Tractors

Well the Operator Manual has Been released as well OMSJ32078

I'm right there with ya. Reminds me of my old JD 790 tractor. Have to look a little more carefully at this new model. What do ya figure, $1500 cheaper that the E model, sans Hydro tranny. And.. looky here.. split brakes !!!

    3A Model coming soon....

The "A" model will probably come out in fall of 2021. Flintstone style, no motor. just stick your feet through the floorboard.

Potential buyers must be signaling they are out of $$, otherwise they would come out with a 3X model with leather and AutoTrak, CommandPro with 12" display.

See, I'm the flip side of the coin. It's going to have to $3k or more cheaper than a comparable 3E tractor. Think about it, people buying these will likely finance it. If it's only $1500 more for a hydro, I bet many opt for the 3E.
