Adding rear work lights to 4R cab

So I got the 4044R cab home finally. I added the hydraulic top link and thatís working great. Iím at a loss on where the wires are to add the rear work lights. Itís all neatly buttoned up and Iím a bit nervous to half disassemble the cab to find them. Anyone done this before?

I've not done it, but I know that Deere prewires the tractors with one harness (actually 2; one for OOS and one for Cabbed units.) I am 99% sure that the wiring for the rear lights is tucked neatly under the roof. I am getting ready to remove my roof too, to install the antenna for my Sirius receiver. I can tell you that I had the horn added to my cabbed 3046R by the dealer. All he had to do was drill a hole in the dash, hook up the wire, bolt on the horn and hook up the wire on the other end.

I looked in my console while they had it apart to install the diverter switch and noted a connector marked "beacon" which I do not have installed. That is one reason that makes me relatively sure Deere uses one harness that is wired for everything that model could possibly have. Obviously a 4 series will have a different harness but the principal is the same.

The wires are either under the roof, or more likely behind the 4 amber marker lights

yes the wires are behind the marker lights. I popped them out and will be getting some nice LED's for the rear. The switch harness is also just under the panel in the cab. I have the new switch on order to make it all look as factory as possible.
