    Is This Cable Routed Correctly?

I have owned my 4066R for almost 3 years. I always thought the lift-arm cable was routed incorrectly by the factory (or dealer?). Does anyone else have their cable routed over the pto shaft? See photograph below. This is the grey linkage cable that connects the 3-point lift lever to the 3-point lift knob located on the rear fender.

Mine is a Cabbed 4066r, but that looks just flat out wrong running that close to the PTO.

On mine the cable runs no where near the PTO, it runs horizontal, straight across:

I took the pto shield off today for the first time, had to make enough room to connect a roller pump. Had to zip-tie the cable to keep it from rubbing the pto. Normally, with the shield installed, I don’t have any problems.
