Question Looking to add thumb control 3rd function to 2010 3320

My 3320 has the 3rd function controlled by the rear remote. Those remotes are controlled by the slide lever right of the seat next to the 3 point control. That lever also controls the mid mount mower height. I have to switch the hoses form the deck to the third function. When I asked my local dealer about adding the thumb control they said not possible. I believe it is.
When I looked up the add on kit. LVB26030, it says starting with MY2011.
What changed in model year 2011?

Should I be able to “t” into the power beyond port to a 12v Electric reversing spool valve ? And add a joystick handle with a momentary toggle on off on switch ?

I actually just installed this kit on my 4105 . Same kit fits several different tractors. I believe it may actually be an issue with the shape/direction of the steel hydraulic hoses supplied in the kit. I actually made a video of my install. Take a look and see if it appears you may be able to make this kit work. Let me know if you have specific questions.

You cannot Tee into the PB line, all new valves must be added in series or they will not work properly. This is all possible, just not with JD parts.

    So two options:
    1) Add the solenoid valve into the PB line and extend the work ports to the front. WR Long actually makes a kit for your tractor I think, comes with everything.

    2) Add a "diverter" to your loader. This is simpler than the other way since all the plumbing is right on the loader and not the tractors main hydraulic lines. Artillian makes a completed kit for this or you can home-brew your own.

Both of these options are covered frequently in the Hydraulics Forum, you might try searching some there.

I have an '05 3520 which is very close to being the same as your tractor. Mine is set up the same way with the rear remotes that control the MMM.

After doing TONS of research I added an Artillian Diverter Valve. It was easy to install and has worked great! Ignore your dealer and just buy the Artillian setup. Don't make the same mistake that I did and think that you can piece together something yourself and save a few bucks. It's not worth it!

Just keep in mind that adding this diverter doesnt allow you to curl/dump while also using the auxiliary cylinder. Not sure if that is a big deal to you or not. For most it's not important. Just something I wasnt aware of when I first started looking

Wasn't important to me - I'm not coordinated enough to do that anyway! Nor can I pat my head and rub my belly at the same time.

It's not...Some peeps try to make it a big deal, but either way you need to develop a muscle memory to use effectively.

They did a major revamp of the hydraulic system in 2011, the specific details of that don’t know, except that the mid SVC was changed and rear 3rd was made electric over hydraulic.
