JD 3039 R steering hydraulic hose repair

I broke the connector tip off the end of the steering hydraulic hose on my JD 3039 R. I was clearing a path in the woods and hope there is a way to make the repair where it sits because with no steering, it will be very difficult to get it out of the woods and to the shop. The other end of the hose is very difficult reach in order to disconnect. Any suggestions on how to repair the connector or reach the other end would be much appreciated.

Find a friend close by with 1 of these. It is a life saver to put new ends on.

Don't think they make them or the dies anymore. I maybe wrong tho. I believe the 1 at work is a synflex model.

    Check these out:

    And my little tutorial:

I have a few 1/4" ones left I think, but they are NPT fittings so you'd need some adapters anyway since the fittings you'll need are probably JIC, ORB, or ORFC.

Post pics and we can help more.
