No fuel goes through fuel filter - GT 242

It will turn over but no fuel goes through fuel filter. Is it the fuel pump or anything else? Thanks.

Fuel pump or air bound.Check to see if it's air bound it's the cheaper of the two.Pull the hose off at the pump and hold it down till the gass runs through the filter, hook it back up and try it again.

Remove the air cleaner. Then spray some carb cleaner into the carb opening while you crank it over. This will let you know if the engine is starving for fuel. If this works then try to keep it running by doing this. It will give the fuel pump a chance to prime the filter and carb bowl. If the filter won't fill it has some kind of pump problem.

Don't be surprised if the ethanol gasoline has rotted the inside of your fuel lines, even if they look A-OK on the outside. That's what happened to a L-130 I used to own.
