    X300 transmission drive pulley help

Hi all, first post to the forum. I have an x300 that decided it did not want to move anymore so I discovered that the belt was in really bad shape. I have started removing it and in doing
so I noticed that the pulley on top of the transmission is free spinning. is this correct? if so, how does it supply power to the transmission?

Not free spinning.. Its is splined. The pulley is softer than the trans shaft so it shouldnt have damaged it. Replace all the pulleys and belt.. Be done with it..
