    engine dies when brake is let out

    have a x595, engine starts an runs fine, when I let the brake off the engine dies, have jumped the seat switch with no help. I sip tied the brake switch so it thinks the brake is on but when I pull the pto switch to start the blades it dies. any help out there.?

    Ok..lets check the back up switch on the trans linkage.

    The safety systems won't let the PTO engage with the brake on. Seeing you tied the switch it thinks it's always on.

    Did your problem just pop up or could you have done something to cause it? Like jump starting the battery?

    was working fine an stopped for a drink an went back to start mowing again, started engine an let brake out an motor died, have checked all fuses an checked most things I know of
