    GT275 information

Hello all, I found your forum and was wondering if you could help me out. I was given a gt275 by my parents years ago the tractor has always run good until recently and this past weekend my wife had had enough and to be honest me to. I did a complete service on the machine two weeks ago plug ,oil, gas filter and all the belts I fired the tractor up and cut grass for at least 2 hours no problem. I go to get it out this weekend all proud of my self knowing I had fixed the problem and it started and ran for about 30 seconds and now wont run again. I happened upon a nice LT190 sitting on the side of the road for sale picked it up for a good price and now am not sure what to do with the 275. I see on this forum there is a following for these tractors so I was wondering if anybody would be interested in this machine and what a fair price would be. Its missing the cowling but really that's it except that it runs when it feels like it lol. Thanks for any input

Could be a couple of things.Make sure the battery connections are clean and tight, and check the ground wire to the frame.Ck to see your getting gas, could be stuff in the tank getting on the intake line.

Remove the air cleaner. Give the carb intake a shot of carb cleaner or starting fluid. Then try to start the engine. If it runs momentarily you have a fuel problem. If not then the next step is to check for spark. Remove the plug and attach it to the wire. Hold the plug on the head while cranking the engine. You should be able to see it spark.

    Good luck
