    X758 low RPM PTO noise

Just got my X758 back from the dealer. Had 3-point hitch and rear PTO installed. Without anything connected to the rear or mid pto, the tractor makes noise at low rpm with pto engaged. Moving the throttle up half way, the noise goes away.

Is this normal for a unit with rear pto?

Mine on my x595 does the same. When you have something connected to the pto its fine,it's just the gear noise.

Thanks for the info. I'll connect the deck and see if that makes a difference.

You should have 3 positions on the rear pto.You have the mower 2000 rpm,the rear 540 rpm and you can run both.Be sure if mowing you have it in the 2000 rpm position. You don't want the back pto running at the same time and vise versa.
