john deere 320 lawn tractor hydraulic lift, deck rasing, problems

Hi, have a JD 320, the front deck will not raise up,but the back lifts fine, tried adjusting the front draft arms and it made no difference, the 4 lift straps are connected, what could be the problem? kinda hard on the front deck wheels when mowing

Only two points do the actual lifting. Then there are the two yellow rectangular bars and the two front silver (zinc plated?) rods that the deck "hangs" from, sort of a parallel set of hangers.

I would check all four for damage and/or binding. Also make sure the front ones are installed correct

You will need to look in the operators manual to level the deck.

Front draft bars are rods with a clevis/yoke threaded on at the mower end, there is a jamb nut to hold the clevis tight. Loosen the jamb nut. Unhook from mower deck (spring loaded "J" pin) screw "on" more to raise the front of the deck, screw "off" more to lower the front of the deck. When satisfied, tighten the jamb nut. Adjust both sides equally!

Check deck front to rear "level" with a blade pointing straight front to back and measure under each end of the blade. I like the front of the blade slightly lower than the rear, 1/16" to 1/8"
