I have a deere 777 with a Kawasaki engine (liquid cooled). Seems to run good except for this backfire. When you are going down hill and you try to slow down by centering the hydrostatic pump, the engine slows down, backfires, and usually stops. If you push both handles all the way forward, you can usually alleviate the stall and maybe not have a back fire. It backfires other times but mostly I can attribute it to this one condition. Any help out there?
