    Broken SST 18

While mowing recently the sst 18 suddenly quit moving. Engine was running and mower was working. Wouldn’t propel forward or backwards. Took the fender and body off. Belt and pulleys intact and working Assume this is transmission problem. Any other thoughts?

Make sure the transport rod on the back is pushed in & not pulled out, check the pedal linkage to see if something came loose ...

There are some good YouTube videos on fixing the SST mowers. It might give you some ideas on what all is involved in making them go.

Transmission pulley splines stripped out. Pulley is spinning but isn't actually turning the transmission guts. Thus no drive yet belt is turning everything g it seems. Pulley splines are softer than the input shaft splines, so trans should be OK.

Are the forward/reverse actuators moving? Could be a bad vacuum line.

Thanks for the tips. Hope it’s the pulley. Will have to remove fuel reservoir to see pulley clearly. Forward/reverse actuators are working
