    transaxle swap

    Hello

I have a john Deere D100, it needs a new transaxle (Spicer Dana 4360-212 CH AM134770) and I can not afford $400 for a new one and can not find one used. I keep reading that the D100 and the L100 are the same, does anyone know if the L100 transaxle (4360-149 AM131576) would bolt up the same? Or one that would fit the D100?

    Thank you

output shaft is super loose, top of caseing where shaft is located is worn down to an egg shape. Gears inside are probably all messed up. I know there is a repair kit, but from what I read it only helps for about 60 hours and would have to buy it again - costs $170. Not worth it IMO. Rather take the $170 and try another or same transaxle. Last one lasted 127 hours.
