I'm clueless about these. Is this a good deal? It's only about 35 min. from me.

Yes, that's a good deal! Be better if it had the 60" deck however.

Would you have to add parts for a front blade as far as the hydraulics? Don't see any hydro valves.

Hydraulics are standard on those, the two levers under the steering wheel control the blade. The couplers are under the left floorboard, one also controls the deck raise/lower also.. You would have to have the proper quick hitch however.

Here is a pic of mine, notice the couplers:

I've got an extra 4100 hitch but that's probably too big for a 455.

The tractor side will be different, unless you can fabricate...

I've got a blade and 47 blower for the 4110. Might be handy to mount the blower on the 455. Does JD make the adapter/mounting plates that would work or would I need to fabricate from scratch using the setup on my 4110 as a guide?

JD does not make "adapter plates", just a different tractor side QH, the blade/blower side is the same. As far as what it would take to make what you have fit, I can't answer that and I doubt many people could. Wanting to use the blower will only complicate things since you'd need to fit the driveshaft as well. These hitches turn up frequently on ebay, so that would be you best bet-and you could sell the "extra" one you have to help finance it.

Looks to be in decent shape
That's about an average price around here. One thing to be concerned with is the all wheel steer, they are known to have issues with the rear wheel steering wearing out, I've seen many 4x5 series all wheel steer's requiring the rear steering to be rebuilt with less than 500hrs.

Just bouncing ideas around. Don't really need it although it would be a major upgrade from the Cub 129, I was getting a bit tired of the manual blade by the end of last winter.

If anybody is seriously interested I could look and take photos
