F911 deck not engaging with switch

Hey! I am new to this site and am needing help! I am working on a F911 because the deck will not start up with the switch, but will manually start up with the switch on and pushing the solenoid in. It will then mow all day and when i turn the switch off it turns off. It will also turn off when the brakes are pressed so the brake switch has to be working and i think the seat switch is working as it starts right up when sitting on the seat. I have tried a new solenoid and that did not work, also tried a new relay with no luck. I have 12v power going to the solenoid and also power going to the relay. I am lost and not sure where to go next so any help would be great! Thanks!

What is the voltage you have going to the PTO solenoid? Is it the same as the battery voltage?

It sounds like there is low voltage to the solenoid. This could be caused by worn contacts in the PTO switch or poor connections on the PTO switch or brake switch.

I am getting a full 12 volts going to the solenoid so i am very confused on why it won’t work. Unless i need to try a new brake or pto switch just to see what happens?

How many hours are on the machine?

Try unplugging the PTO switch and spray both connections with WD 40. Reinstall and take out a couple times. This will help to clean the connection.

After that I would try a new PTO switch.

Sometimes the voltage will read OK, but when a load is applied, it drops.

    The solinoid?

You mean the switch holding electro magnet?

I’m pretty sure that should make full contact on its own when you move the lever forward. There is another plunger switch under the seat that might be out of adjustment too.

I replaced the $12 other switch 3 times before getting a $600 pto which was my issue in the end.
