    X500 Deck heights

Is there any way to make the deck go higher than the preset levels? It’s a 48” deck...manual lift. (2008 model). I feel like the deck is not mower at 4” when it’s on 4. Thanks.

I'm not sure there is any way to get it to cut higher than 4". But... you can verify what the cut height actually is with one of these height gauges. They run around $10. It will measure the actual blade tip height. You can also try mowing with the deck all the way up in the travel position.

If you buy one of these gauges verify the part number and specifics as not all of them measure above 3-1/2 inches.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will look up one of those units. I guess I can “google” how to fix it if it’s off.

If it is a little off from the dial it is easy to fix. You simply use the deck leveling adjusters and make the blade height agree with the dial.
