What have you done so far on it? Check plugs, spark plug wire/boots. Located which cylinder is acting up?

I have the same model and year. When mine did this it was a spark plug. The culprit plug looked fine visually...it was a hairline crack in the insulator that only opened up once the machine was warmed up.

Up until that point in my troubleshooting I was convinced it was the fuel line in the gas tank. If you poke around for threads you will find this is common. The fuel line degrades and needs to be replaced. The symptoms are similar to what you are describing. I was all set to do this before changing the plug.

It could be other things of course, but these are two candidates.

Maybe start with the basics. Has the fuel filter been serviced ever?

I checked the service manual and you need an ohm meter to test the coils.
Primary side should read 2200-3600 ohms. The secondary should be 13,000-21,000 ohms.

Could be a fuel pump issue or even a fuel line. Did you try cracking the gas cap?
