Question Transmission problem on SX75 rear engine rider. Is it worth fixing?

The tranny doesn't work in either direction, just makes a clunking sound.
Everything else on the mower works great.
Is it worth trying to fix or replace the tranny?

I bought a GX85 a couple of years ago with a broken transmission case. I was able to find the parts for it at Peerless Transmission the company that makes them for most of the less expensive mowers. I spent about $250.00 on the tranny and have had 3 seasons of trouble free use. The GX/SX mowers are tough to work on because they are so small (lots of skinned knuckles). I'll look for the WEB site for Peerless later for you.

Peerless Engine parts, on line parts catalog for Peerless engines. There is a model number on the transmission case that you will need to find the right parts list. There are dozens of versions of these transmissions. If you want to post the model number, I'll help you look for the parts.
