Question John deere 265 snowblower install

Hi, I just bought a 38" snowblower attachment. Will it work on a 1993 JD 265? I am having trouble and wondering if it can be retrofitted to fit it or bracket that is needed for it to work. Any help is appreciated.

You could but a 42" is what you need.38 won't cover the tire tracks. There's a bunch of 42's that come up for sale this time of the year.I would start with an attaching parts kit then see what needs to be modified to fit.The 38 frame is going to be narrower than a 42" frame, might be shorter also so you may have to lengthen it.
