Today I decided to try out the Tarter Boom Pole on my x739.
After installing the iMatch mated bushings, I rounded up a couple rigging lines to tie-off-and lift my LandPride BB0548 Box Scraper, as a test in capacity. I lowered the Boom Pole as low as it would go, hydraulically, then lowered it lower via the Top Link, to as close as possible. Then I rigged another line to the BB, and tied it off to hold that position when lifted.
The Boom Pole weighs 66lbs per the specs. I didn't weigh it to verify.
The BB weighs 277lbs.
Total weight on the rear eye (closest to tractor) of the pole 343lbs +/-.
I increased RPM to 3/4 and started lifting. Not enough ooOMPHFF, so full throttle it was.
It was slow going up, but it did raise up. The x739 was level in my shop. With no front ballast.
I decided to make a slow trip to the equipment shed and put the BB away for winter.
There was very little weight on the steer tires. Almost popping a wheelie as I rolled slowly along. I did managed to make my way to the shed and put it away.
I figured. And know I need front ballast. Next time I will use it.
Now the question.
How much weight should the x700 series be able to lift via the 3PH, with stock hydraulic pressure output?
How much weight have you lifted with your (unmodified) x700 Series Garden Tractor with the same configuration?
Anything other than mentioned, need not respond. Why? Because it's not relevant of the equation.
