    X 700 Tilt Steering

Steering wheel has a lot of play (sitting)..Up and down motion... compared to a new one which does has some... but not near as severe...
seems to be the tilt ..(700 hours on it)...feels like a kids toy tractor...I know something is worn...But ..is it worth pulling the dash ?
I hope someone rings in .. thanks !!

Looking at JDparts.com; it looks like you need to pull shroud key 10 (I am not sure how it comes off) and check parts key 11 &12. One or both (key 11 &12) might be worn causing the play in the tilt.

    tilt

Actually is was #6 bushing... I m replacing both of them, bottom one is the same part #...
Very Glad I have a x700 ultimate Tech manual, Those plastic shrouds snap in (out) have a mind of there own...along with other little help pulling the dash out, it shows as well for doing this task.
I'm quite shocked there are not more people with this steering issue,...

    Thanks for the reply.
