    GX325 PTO Switch

The PTO switch on my GX325 will not shut off the mower blades. I push the switch in (turn it off), but nothing happens. In order to get the blades to stop turning, I have to stand up out of the seat to get the seat switch to activate/deactivate. I have replaced the PTO switch, but to no avail. Looking for some help in diagnosing/fixing this problem.

Just guessing...Is the RIO bypassed? If it is and not done correctly, it may be keeping the mower engaged.

It may be the PTO clutch. My 345 did the same thing, replaced the clutch and the problem was gone!

Disconnect the 2 wire connector on the PTO clutch then start the unit and see if the blades still run. If they do it is obviously a PTO clutch issue.
