Seat suspension spring weight rating? 4x5 vs x7?

Since getting my x758 the only complaint I have is the seat suspension is definitely not as comfortable as the suspension on my previous 445. I think it has to do with the weight rating on the springs. It seems the latest X series tractors have seat springs rated for about 250lbs+. The earlier X series springs were closer to 200lbs. I'm interested to see if anyone knows what the suspension springs on the 445/455's were rated at, mainly the last models like the 00'+. Riding around on the x758 just feels like I'm riding a washboard, and yes I've lowered the tire PSI to 8 in the rear and 10 in the fronts. Now, honestly, I only weight 130 lbs, so I'm pretty sure the seat springs are the issue, it's like riding a short bed dually with no weight in the back lol. I might be interested in buying a seat of the older X series suspension springs off someone if you've upgraded to the later, heavier springs.

I have owned 455's and the seat suspension is better than my first X595. I modified the seat suspension to add to smaller springs. The existing OEM springs are just to stiff.

When I bought my second X595 the previous owner did exactly the same thing.

If I’m not mistaken you are talking about the suspension assembly AM148403 which is also underneath the 1025R. I added it to my X540 and its nice under my 190-200#. Ken from Bolt on Hooks is a tremendous information base on springs as he sells upgraded ones for the cheeseburger enhanced population. He may also be able to point you in the right direction for the feather weight division. One size does not fit all.

Interesting repair George, basically replacing the solid rubber stops with secondary springs. I remember the 445 suspension had that lighter weight spring in the location as well. The seat would always hop around whenever the tractor was on a trailer.
