    Gator blades 48" Accel Deck

Has anyone purchased gator or other blades for a 48" Accel deck with mulch kit? Curious about performance and blade/model you chose.

My front lawn is all new growth w/ lot's of tender care to keep the new growth coming. Although I use the high lift blades I don't have the mulch kit on the deck simply because I sweep after every cut. I really didn't think much more than I was happy with the results until people started stopping by when I was out front to ask me what I had done to bring the lawn in, and what was I doing to keep it so good looking.

I may purchase the mulch kit in the future, but for now I want to get through this year without it. What I like most about the Oregon blades is the attention to detail, specifically the quality and the balance. Smooth as silk.

i rebuilt my 48 inch Accel deck this spring and i put on the mulching cover and gator blades. so far so good.
i've used all 3 discharge methods (bagging, side-discharge and mulching) and all 3 methods worked great. seems to clear out cuttings cleaner and not much clipping left under the mower deck when done.

    thanks

Call Oregon Technical Services at 1-800-223-5168 option #1

They will tell you what the proper fitting blades would be.

i went and looked at the tags and they are Copperhead mulching blades. not Gator blades...
    but they looked very similar.

    That was my feedback.

They recommend the G3's only for the Accel decks. Sorry didn't mean to put a knot in your stomach.
