    425 Not Shutting off Clean

My new to me 425 isn't shutting of cleanly. It does the normal wait to shut down when you turn the key off but then as it starts to die it kinda sputters may or may not start all the way back up then kinda runs rough then dies. I'm worried about bending a push rod or something and feel like I read a post about bad spark arrestors or something. Any ideas what it might be?

    Thanks all

    It's a 2001 with 800 hours in excellent shape.

Perhaps a bad or missing fuel cut off solenoid. If it's there on your carburetor, the PO may have cut the pin.

Many people discount the value of the fuel shut off solenoid and remove or cut the pin off if they perceive it's failing.

Thanks for the response. I'll look into it. See if I can figure out if that is working.
