    Heavy Hitch and X758

I just put on the Heavy Hitch 2 inch hitch attachment. Very well built. I don’t know about all the new X700 series tractors, but on the new X758, the back left screw had to be shortened. It was hitting the transmission housing. Cut about 1/2 inch off, all is well again. Just a heads up.

Heavy hitch makes some really well built products, including the combo hitch you're using. I use the same combo hitch and it has never let me down. Curious as to why you didn't opt for the 3pt hitch. Any special reason?

I don’t have a 3pt to hook it to. Use my 2038 for all that stuff. Just wanted a way to push my trailers back further from my tractor when pulling and a hook to pull with a chain.

Nice! Looks like it would need to be mounted underneath the frame if you have the quick attach brackets or 3 pt. hitch, is that possible?

Sure wish I had seen that before I bought the Deer 1.25 hitch for my new X758.

That setup looks so much better made then what I bought.
Also I am having trouble getting the stability for the rear ATV rack I am trying to setup to haul my small sprayer setup with the small little 1.25 hitch attachment.

I think the 2" would have been a lot better and there is a lot more choices for risers out there in 2".

I have other heavy hitch products. They do make good quality products.

Looks like I need to get on the heavy hitch website and bust out the ole TTWT coupon code again.

    Thanks for posting that.

Yank your hitch looks a lot different than the one I purchased from HH. Mine doesn't cover the entire flange like yours does.

After looking at the HH website it looks like they did a Rev 2 and that's where yours came from. Mine is a Rev 1. Funny part is I managed to bend the entire lower plate that mine attaches to when I was yanking a brush rootball out of the ground. I wonder if i had your Rev 2 if I would have bent that plate or not.

I just noticed that too about the 2 different versions.

That one is clearly a lot heavier built.

I think I am going with one of each. I am going to put the heavier one on the X758 and the lighter one on the 750 and probably stick that JD 1.25 over on the older 740.

I went out and looked. It’s possible, but it would be really close to the ground. Would have to be careful in what you ran over.

I noticed this also before I ordered. Sent them a message for clarification and never got a response. I just went with the one that looked more sturdy. I wonder if the smaller version has something to do with the click n go bracket, or some other add on?

I have the click n' go brackets on my 738. They are located at the top of the chassis, and on the outside of the chassis, so having them both on the tractor at the same time will be a non issue. However, you are correct in assuming the HH may interfere with other attachments that use the brackets. The electric spreader will definitely be an issue as the spreader uses the hole in the bottom of the chassis for support as part of it's mounting scheme. It get's to the point where you're driving a very large Swiss army knife.
