Needed to mow my lawn this week. Since we're having a party this weekend and my grass is usually pretty long, I decided to bag things, which I normally don't do. That way people won't be dragging grass clippings into the house all the time. Dang, it takes WAAAAAAY longer to bag than mowing normally. The 'front half' of my property which I can usually mow in just under 2 hours took a bit more than double that time last night. I probably had to dump the MC519 cart about 25 times for that area. Really happy to have my hydraulic dump hooked up! Makes it so easy. I'll tackle the back half tomorrow. Another 4 hours, I suspect...

I know I've been neglecting air filter, but I didn't think it was what was causing my surging issues. Every time I mowed the rpms would drop all the time. I thought what the hey I pulled off the air filter finished the lawn and it runs like a new machine.

Finally now that the heat of summer is on its way out and all a lot of other projects have been done I managed to get the grass seed down around my shed. The shed even got a good pressure washing and a fresh coat of stain all the way around.

Spent the day in the tractor blading and raking to loosen to top layer and get the surface rocks out of the way. The forgotten and neglected corner of the yard is finally getting finished 5 years after moving in.

Friday I mowed the yard (notice I didn't say lawn/grass).

Then Saturday and Sunday used the tractor to haul junk from the basement around the house to the big dumpster in the driveway. Been doing a major clean out. Filled one 30 yard dumpster a few weeks ago, now have this one half full. Basement has been packed with junk since we built the house (stuff from old attic, stuff from my dad's house, and stuff from my wife's parent's house). Since it is just me now, I was able to be real brutal on the keep-chuck decisions.

Picked up a Heavy Hitch 2" receiver adapter for my sleeve hitch. That allowed me to hook up the 5' x 10' trailer to load up and haul stuff.
