    Snow Blade for GX345

I called my dealer, Scott, a few days ago to asked him to let me know when he gets in a snow blade that will fit my GX345. He said he would. Yesterday I was at the dealership picking up some parts and I went in again to remind him about the snow blade. He said he would let me know. As I was leaving, I decided to check inside their gate where they have some used attachments sitting. There was a 54 blade for the 4X5, a 38 inch blade, a broom, and a 48 inch blade. It was M03481X, which I'm sure fits my GX. It was mainly complete and in good shape. The angling kit wasn't there. I went in to see Scott and told him he may have what I needed. He said he didn't think that blade was in the inventory, but he would check with the stock guy to see. Here is the blade.

Looks real nice. I wonder if they ever have any older implements or just new ones. I'll have to ask next time I'm in there.

Does anyone have a picture of where the blade frame attaches to the tractor at the rear of the frame? I have a manual, but the image is too fuzzy to be clear enough to see where it latches to on the tractor. Thanks.

I have an '04 ('03mfg.) GX335, same plow setup as the GX345. IF the tractor was not originally equipped with that plow, you will additionally need the "Lift Kit" linkage bundle. It's a set of lugs that go to the outside of the frame (EZ bolt on) to hook the back of the plow frame to tractor frame and the lifting linkage which engages the 2 front turnbuckle adjusters mid frame on the plow.

You'll need to get under the machine and attach a rod to the mower lift linkage and install the lift linkage to plow arms. Not a bad job at all if you can get the machine up 10"-12" or so. Good thing is that when you get this done it will also handle a 42 snowblower (single stage was all offered for this machine).

Hope this helps, I'll try and get some pix tomorrow of the "lugs" and the lift arms...

    JD 345 Plow attachment pics

I realize this post is 5 months too late, but it might help someone else who has the same plow attachment question.Click image for larger version.

I have a JD 345 and a JD 355D, both accept the same exact attachments.

This photo was taken of the rear mounting point for the plow/ snowthrower. In the photo there is a bushing on the mounting point for a Snowthrower to be attached. I took the picture because I was going to put the blade on to push dirt. I wanted the picture so I would remember how the bushing for the snowthrower went back on.

    I hope this helps.

Same blade setup that I have for my 345. Works pretty well with wheel weights and chains.
