    Replacement belts

    I need to replace the deck belt on my 540X. The dealer wants $75. A Stens equivalent from Amazon is $33. Anybody have experieince using Stens products?
    2520; JD ballast box; BX42 Chipper; BB2060 box blade; 200CX FEL; iMatch; JD 54" blower; SS1067B spreader; Ken's Grab Hooks; JD front and rear worklight kit c/w Artillian Worklight horse blinders; Artillian Forks; Artillian Caster Carts; X-series seat and suspension with upgraded springs; Piranha toothbar

    X740 ; 60D 7-iron deck with mulch kit; Brinley Aerator; De-thatcher; Ohio Steel 920 lb. Roller; JD 25 gallon sprayer; Brinley 17p cart; Custom hazard lights

    I have no clue...but I tend to lean toward the OEM one myself. How long has it lasted?

    Well, in truth, 465 hours. It is just that we pay a premium for OEM. And we know that JD does not make their own belts. so who makes them? Oregon would make a good replacement part. But your point is well taken.

    For less than half price, its worth a try. Even if you get one year out of it anf have to buy the OEM the next year. You might win with the belt or you might break even. I like OEM stuff, but on a belt, I might try one that was 1/2 off!
