    La105 withe possible trans issue

My la105 isn't moving well, wife was mowing and said it started smoking

I got it to run into the garage however it's just creeping, replaced belt with no difference
And pulled brake, cleaned it up and reinstalled, it did this a few years ago then started moving again

The am134770 gearbox I read about looks to have the brake on the wrong side, at least the image of it
On green tractor parts says it fits 105 is that correct part number?

    Anything else to check?

AM134770 is the part number listed on JDParts for your transmission.

I will call local dealer Monday to see if any have one in stock looks like a simple swap

The brake isn't dragging that I can tell when you rotate wheels by hand in N the brake disk doesn't rotate with them

It seems to skip a bit like it wants to go but moves very slow in a mild jerk typ movement

Be prepared for an unpleasant $ quote, the TuffTorque trannys in the L, LX and D series (and some X series) are only full replacements thru dealers (not parts) and cost a pretty $!

If it's A Tuff Torque tranny and full replacement from Deere is out due to cost contact Tuff Torque, they may be able to offer parts or help with servicing it.
