    L110 lifter replacement

So I had issues with the tractor all summer long. It would not start and back fire when trying to start.

I have done all I could and ended up taking it to the shop. Their diagnosis is stuck lifter and estimate was in hundreds of dollars.

Has anyone done this job before. If so how long / difficult would it take for a person who knows to use tools and has access to service manual?

Any suggestions / advice on getting this job done would be appreciated.

Did they give you a written estimate on the needed work? Do you have any pics of the carnage? They will help us determine what you're in for.

There are several sources online for new inexpensive motors. Depending on your total cost for the repairs you could conceivably replace the motor in the L110 for near the same $
