Question GT235 Lift Adjust Stop Knob

I'm trying to get deep enough to see what's wrong with my steering. Believe it or not, I'm stymied by the simple phrase in the tech manual, "Remove lift adjust stop knob."
I cannot figure out how to get that sucker off.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Is knob 10 the one in question? Looks like you need to remove item 14.

14 keeps the depth stop in place on the shaft.Just pull the knob off the shaft. It's tight though.
